Frequently asked questions.

What is The 3:27 Life Project?

The 3:27 Life Project is a faith-based initiative dedicated to helping people navigate life’s biggest spiritual questions. We do this through storytelling, practical tools, and compassionate training programs. Right now, we’re featuring our Change the Narrative children’s book series, designed to help kids explore faith with honesty and hope.

Where does the name “3:27 Life” come from?

The name comes from Proverbs 3:27 "Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act." It’s a reminder to take action when we can help someone, especially in moments of doubt or struggle. The 3:27 Life Project is about living out that principle through compassion, courage, and connection.

Who is The 3:27 Life Project for?

We serve anyone wrestling with spiritual doubt, life transitions, or big faith questions , and the people who walk alongside them. Our resources are designed for families, individuals, and community leaders.

What is the Change the Narrative series?

It’s a collection of children’s books inspired by real stories of faith, doubt, and discovery. Each book blends engaging storytelling with parent guides to open honest conversations about belief, doubt, and life’s big questions.

What ages are the books written for?

The Change the Narrative books are written for ages 9–13, with companion guides designed for parents, mentors, or small-group leaders. Each story blends age-appropriate fiction with emotional honesty, helping preteens explore faith questions in safe, relatable ways.

Do I need both the Preteen Edition and the Parent & Mentor Guide?

You don’t have to, but we recommend it.

The Preteen Edition is written as a stand-alone story for kids.
The Parent & Mentor Guide includes the same story woven together with notes and prompts to help adults start meaningful conversations about faith and doubt.

Buying both gives your preteen space to read freely while you follow along with insight and guidance.

Is this just for Christian audiences?

Not exclusively. While Ashley’s Whisper and the early volumes in the Change the Narrative series are written from a Christian worldview, the stories are meant to be accessible and meaningful for anyone exploring spirituality or supporting someone who is.

You can still enjoy the stories even if you come from a different background. They emphasize curiosity, empathy, and courage, values that cross faith traditions.

Each Parent & Mentor Guide includes a short discussion point about the main character’s upbringing, helping readers understand the character’s experiences and beliefs within their own faith context. This gives adults from any background a framework for meaningful discussion with children, even if they do not share the same beliefs.

As the project grows, it is our hope to expand the Change the Narrative series to include main characters from other worldviews who are also wrestling with questions about purpose, truth, and belonging. The long-term goal is to create a diverse collection of stories that help readers see faith and doubt through different lenses while maintaining honesty, respect, and hope at the center of every narrative. Is this just for Christian audiences?

No. While the stories come from a Christian framework, they’re designed to be accessible and respectful for anyone exploring spirituality or supporting someone who is. Over time, we hope to expand our resources to reflect a wide range of faith traditions, so that people from all backgrounds can find encouragement and understanding here.

What is the Navigator Training?

The Navigator Training is an upcoming program designed to equip everyday people, not just pastors or professionals, to support others through spiritual doubt with compassion, clarity, and respect.

Do I need a theology degree to join?

No. This training is for people who want practical skills for meaningful, faith-sensitive conversations.

When will the training be available?

We expect to launch the first sessions after the completion of the initial book project phase. You can join our email list for updates.
